SQL Migration SME
Responsibilities:
* Provide architecture development, design, implementation, upgrading, administration, and management for Enterprise and Standard Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) databases for classified and unclassified environments
* Provide database support in order to maintain highly secure and available systems (24/7 basis and worldwide) by adhering to Cybersecurity regulations
* Implement industry best practices and standards for database support using ITIL, LSS, AQA, Malcolm Baldrige, and CMMI compliant processes
* Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server in production and non-production environments
* Provide strategic database recommendations for implementation of future database releases, and reporting metrics across the database enterprise
* Adhere to and implement recommended methodologies to enforce standardization and flexibility across the database enterprise
* Be capable of implementing physical data structures and automated database process programming that reach across both structured and unstructured data sources
* Configure databases to provide a wide range of services for the ingesting, storage, access, analytics, and processing of data
* Configure and administer High Availability Solutions like Database Mirroring, Replication, Log shipping, and multi-node 27 SQL Server clustering
* Implement and support SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for applications across the AvMC Enterprise. Assist with the maintenance of database SOPs and documentation
* Conduct capacity planning, performance testing, and tuning
* Monitor and report database metrics for decision making purposes
* Produce and maintain DISA STIG documentation and ensure SQL Server STIGs are applied and remain current Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field
* 12 years of prior experience
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* DoD 8140 Level certification
* US Top Secret Clearance (Client can hold a higher clearance)
