What You’ll Do

• Leads the implementation of new QA structures. Actively interfaces with stakeholders to then build upon those structure.
• Should be a SME of TCoE & Agile transformations.
• Influences product design in order to improve testability.
• Knows the QA team and their challenges. Understands the complexities of QA and leverages this knowledge to improve QA efficiency and effectiveness.
• Constantly communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders - from discussions about business and functional requirements, to documenting decisions and designs, to reporting on industry trends and new technologies, to developing and mentoring colleagues...
• Directs any research activities required to accomplish the QA requirements. Direction of research means identifying the items to be researched, assigning the same to other engineers, evaluating the results of the research and concluding the same. Drives good design practices like Design patterns and advocates frameworks and best practices. Encourages design/code reuse across the QA products, which also improves productivity.
• Experienced with developing and testing utilizing cloud technologies (AWS a bonus).
• Ensure non-functional aspects of the product like scalability and performance are addressed early in the design cycle to properly identify and mitigate risks.
• Interfaces with others to ensure product consistency within the organization.
• Discusses / Reviews various Test Strategies and is conversant with and able to design for any quality attribute (functional and operational quality).
• Develops frameworks that easily connect in with CI/CD practices and guides the organization towards efficient test practices that include the Testing Pyramid and Shift-Left testing.
• Know all the core functionality of modules within the automation code and framework.
• Contribute significantly towards improving overall technical quotient of QA and Dev teams in organization.
• Where necessary, troubleshoot and correct field issues in concert with other functional teams identifying root cause and corrective action.
