SOL-MILLENNIUM Medical Group is an entrepreneurial global healthcare company dedicated to the research and development, manufacturing and distribution of high-quality medical devices that support best clinical practice while protecting healthcare workers and their patients from the risks associated with needlestick injury.
Sol-Millennium sells a broad range of medical products such as needles, syringes and blood collection devices to hospitals, animal health groups, medical supply companies, government health departments and scientific research facilities in 40 countries around the world. We operate facilities in twelve countries, including R&D hubs in Switzerland and China. At the outset of the Covid-19 coronavirus crisis, Sol-Millennium introduced a broad range of PPE and related products for use by hospital professionals, patients, first responders and other community organizations. Sol-Millennium has also proudly supplied over 2 billion syringes and needles for use in vaccination campaigns around the world.
Sol-Millennium has an immediate need for a Key Account Manager (KAM), Distributors & GPOs, reporting to the Country Manager, Canada. The KAM will be responsible for managing our relationships with purchasing organizations in the acute care space as well as with our distribution partners with the primary goal to exceed budgeted sales and margin expectations while increasing our offering of Sol-Millennium brand product in the lab market.
For consideration, candidates must have sales experience with GPOs and/or distributors. Preference will be given to candidates in the Ontario, Toronto, or Montreal areas; this is a remote position.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage local sales activity through accurate reporting of sales opportunities and pipeline management
- Work with internal team to ensure proper product forecasting in region as opportunities close
- Closely work with National Accounts and Business Units to drive implementation of awarded contracts
- Work with local sales management team to call on top IDNs and key accounts in territory
- Lead key negotiations with customers and local sales team
- Effectively present Sol-Millennium’s capabilities and product offering to customers
- Work with internal Business Units to stay current on competitive offerings available and customer feedback
- Willingness to travel, as needed, to key customer meetings and presentations
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree; major in Business, Law, Accounting or Marketing preferred
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Proven multitasker
- Ability to handle tight deadlines
Desired:
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of CRM systems (such as Salesforce)
- Sales experience working with GPOs & Distributors
- Medical Device/ Pharma industry Experience
- Bilingual in French
