JOB SUMMARY
The System Administrator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of company computer systems. The System Administrator identifies any problems in the system, anticipates potential issues and repairs systems and software when necessary. The System Administrator works directly under the supervision of the IT Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Oversee the installation, upgrading, and configuration of sophisticated application software and state-of-the-art computer hardware, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
- Provide professional technical support to employees with the utmost attention to detail and delivering prompt solutions to all IT issues, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
- Manage the creation and maintenance of system permissions and user accounts, with a focus on safeguarding confidential information and ensuring seamless access to all authorized personnel
- Conduct comprehensive security tests and continuous monitoring to maintain the integrity of the company's IT systems, guaranteeing the highest level of security for all sensitive data
- Expertly maintain networks and network file systems, utilizing advanced techniques to ensure optimal performance and prevent system failures
- Complete other tasks and projects as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2-3 experience help desk required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems
- Familiarity with hardware
- Knowledge of networks
- CompTIA Server or A
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Exceptional Communication and interpersonal skills: In addition to working on a team, system admins will often be expected to help other employees that don’t have the same technical knowledge through help desk support or other means. Communicating well will be a vital part of a system administrator’s successful day-to-day tasks
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Ability to collaborate with others and utilize knowledge and resources to identify quality solutions
- Well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Highly organized, resourceful, proactive, creative, detail-oriented, and critical thinking skills required
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly and on-the-fly
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to present information in a concise and easily understood manner
