Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Technical Writer. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create a variety of instructional materials including printed manuals, installation guides, and FAQs to enhance user experience and product understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Develop clear, concise, and user-friendly instructional content.
• Design and Illustration: Utilize Adobe Illustrator or similar tools to create accurate sketches and illustrations of products and installation methods. Ability to operate independently in developing visual aids that complement written instructions.
• Technical Proficiency: Possess technical skills necessary for basic architectural design installations.
• Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with company standards and product launches.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understand and apply regulatory and safety standards relevant to the lighting industry. Incorporate necessary warnings and compliance information into all instructional materials.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and the Graphics team to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to technical documentation and user support materials.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the construction industry or related technical fields.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar design tools.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety requirements in the lighting or related industries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 – 43 per week
