Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Technical Writer. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create a variety of instructional materials including printed manuals, installation guides, and FAQs to enhance user experience and product understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop clear, concise, and user-friendly instructional content.
Design and Illustration: Utilize Adobe Illustrator or similar tools to create accurate sketches and illustrations of products and installation methods. Ability to operate independently in developing visual aids that complement written instructions.
Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with company standards and product launches.
Regulatory Compliance: Understand and apply regulatory and safety standards relevant to the lighting industry. Incorporate necessary warnings and compliance information into all instructional materials.
Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and the Graphics team to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to technical documentation and user support materials.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the construction industry or related technical fields.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar design tools.
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content.
Strong attention to detail.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety requirements in the lighting or related industries.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 – 43 per week
