Description
The Applications Engineer IV is responsible to maintain and develop the dry strength application in North America. The App Eng. IV will report to the DS Applications Team Manager and will be mentored by a senior Applications Project Manager who specializes with the On-Site generator platform. These products currently comprise the Hercobond Plus platform (GPAM) and Particol (Silica) systems. The role is not restricted to these 2 product lines, but the focus will initially be placed on supporting the rapid growth of the On-Site platform. Travel requirement in NA is established at 50-75%.Qualifications
Experience
• Bachelor’s degree Science and/or Engineering; or equivalent relevant industry experience is preferred• Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation on complex equipment (Generator)• Demonstrated ability to make decisions, balancing customer’s needs, and company objectives • Strong communication skills, presentation capability, and ability to influence others through direct and indirect methods
Knowledge
• Pertinent product line knowledge and general industry knowledge• Sensitive to new business opportunities and strategy to gain • Strong interpersonal skills with multiple levels within the organization • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Travel Requirement/Work Environment
• Expected travel to be 50% - may be higher or lower at certain times of the year depending on demand
• Majority of travel will be to various customer industrial sites both indoors and outdoors. Employee could be faced with working in temperature extremes.
• Employee should be comfortable standing for extended periods of time and ability to climb up and down multiple levels of stairs. Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude helpful.
• Use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, gloves, and H2S Monitor as required or needed.
• Frequent automobile and/or air travel required. Proximity to national airport preferred. Time not spent traveling will be remote from home office.
