We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate NICU RN for a travel assignment in Overland Park, KS. As a NICU RN, you will provide specialized care to premature and critically ill newborns in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing and monitoring the health of premature and critically ill newborns.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Managing and monitoring ventilators and other life support equipment.
- Providing emotional support to families and educating them on their infant's care.
- Documenting patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in NICU nursing.
- NRP and BLS certifications.
- Knowledge of neonatal medications and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
