Position Summary: As an SLP in our school district, you will play a vital role in enhancing the communication and language skills of our students. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering therapy services, and collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals. You will work closely with students of varying ages and abilities, fostering their overall growth, academic success, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and IEP goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in group settings.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective strategies and interventions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide valuable input regarding students' speech and language needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and trends in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Ohio state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of various communication disorders and effective therapy techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
