Position: Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Near Owosso, MI
Job Description: We are currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year near Owosso, MI. The position requires a commitment of 37.5-40 hours per week. The caseload will include students from elementary to high school levels.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and other educational settings
- Monitor and track students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input on students' speech and language goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports
- Stay updated on best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding students' progress and therapy recommendations
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active Michigan state license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association)
- Experience working with students in a school setting is preferred
- Knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively
- Willingness to participate in professional development activities and stay updated on current research and practices in the field
Salary : $72,600 - $91,900
