Our Kingstree Plant is currently seeking a Materials / Logistics Manager
Location: 1245 Eastland Avenue, Kingstree, SC 29556
Shift work: M-F, 8 AM – 5 PM
Full Time- Direct Hire position

POSITION OVERVIEW
The purpose of this position is to manage purchasing, inventory, flow of orders, shipments and workers engaged in lifting, transporting, storing and loading materials of finished and raw materials for the Kingstree plant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage your direct reports - Materials Coordinator, Logistics Clerk, Yard Supervisor, & crew:
o Must be available as needed, possibly after hours for urgent needs
o Accountable for the total safety and efficiency of department.
o Coordinate accurate placement of materials in yard and warehouses.
o Perform physical inventories; maintain accuracy, quantity, and integrity of rolls (packaging, labels, etc).
· Manage and coordinate the inventory management function and correct reporting of quantities.
o Purchasing
o Receiving
o Locating
o Weekly cycle counts and weekly update KPIs
o Quarterly physical counts
o Integrity of rolls, packaging, labels, etc.
o Kanban system, where applicable
o FIFO
· Drive Q-hold inventory disposition with lab manager.
· Forecast, procure, manage raw materials and packaging (cores, slings, bags, etc) needed for order production.
· Manage and enter purchase orders for MRO and miscellaneous items such as office and safety supplies.
· Manage the flow of orders to ship using Dynamics 365 ERP, TMS, and MS Planner.
· Investigate Shipping errors/complaints & implement / Corrective actions / inventory issues in a timely manner.
· Communicate freight rates / field CSR questions.
· Manage assets (scanners, forklifts, docks, racks…).
· Manage waste disposal / dumpster costs.
· Manage grounds maintenance.
· Manage railroad traffic & minimize demurrage costs.
· Ability to perform all duties for any office position in logistics.
· Must be very detailed and self-motivated team player.
· Accountable for the safety of department.
· Lead physical inventories.
· Receive and unloading of raw material deliveries.
· Monitor Transport Vendor relations and contracts as designated by the Transport Manager in Houston
· Keep updated on current shipping rates to better negotiate competitive shipping rates.
· Document Creation for Canada and Mexico Shipments (BOL, NAFTA, Commercial Invoice and Packing List in new system
QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS/BA preferred in Supply chain, Logistics and/or Business Administration
· 5 years direct responsibility for SOP development, operational execution in delivery, managing continuous improvement project leadership.
· 7 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations in Manufacturing.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, very strong in excel. Dynamics 365 Finance & Office ERP experience a must.
· Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software (SAP, Oracle ERP, Dynamics 365) required
· Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software (Transportation Management System) experience a must. Preferred Mercury Gate.
· Must present a demonstration and understand the functions and responsibilities of the position
· Able to perform large data set calculations and analysis for physical inventory.
· Maintain KPI’s for logistics and purchasing for Kingstree locations.
· Export experience is a plus.
· 5S experience preferred.
· Experience in managing and developing a team.
· Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
