Registered Nurse - PACU
Duties:
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient's condition
- Administer medications and manage pain relief
- Assist with airway management and respiratory support
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure effective case management
- Provide tube feeding and other nutritional support as needed
- Utilize knowledge of physiology to provide optimal patient care
- Practice aseptic technique to prevent infection
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education
- Provide specialized care for infants when required
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a PACU setting
- Proficient in medication administration and pain management techniques
- Strong skills in airway management and respiratory support
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans accordingly
- Experience in case management and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of tube feeding procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with hospice palliative medicine principles and practices
- Solid understanding of physiology and its application to patient care
- Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment
- Experience in discharge planning and patient education
