Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Events and Marketing Strategist to join our team. The desired candidate will play a key role in conceptualizing, planning, and executing events that align with our project's objectives and elevate the brand presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and a creative flair for designing immersive event experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their goals, target audience, and desired outcomes for hosted events.
- Develop comprehensive event strategies that encompass logistics, budgeting, marketing, and engagement tactics.
- Conduct thorough research on venue options, vendors, and industry trends to ensure the success of each event.
- Create detailed event proposals, including timelines, budgets, and creative concepts, to present to clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to execute events seamlessly, from planning to post-event evaluation.
- Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, transportation, and accommodations. This will be achieved through a vendor network that the candidate will manage closely.
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive attendance and engagement before, during, and after events.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of events and identify areas for improvement.
- The position will crossover to other aspects of the business, including helping to define the project's social media strategy and manage implementation, as well as manage the project’s marketing assets such as website, deckware, fact sheets, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field.
- Proven experience in event management, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools, such as event planning software, CRM systems, and project management platforms.
- Ability to work flexible hours (not too frequent), including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules and project needs.
Compensation
Competitive salary based on experience. $50-60 / hr.
Reimbursement for supplies, mileage, and job-related expenses.
