Solar Installer
POSITION SUMMARY
The Installer does site preparation and solar system installation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assembling and installing photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs, parking lot structures and ground mounts
- Grading & SWPPP, excavation, concrete work, and among other civil and mechanical tasks.
- Material loading & handling
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Education and Experience
- 6 months civil construction experience
- Ability to travel
- Dependability and reliability
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to learn new tasks and apply them effectively on the job
- Good physical condition and stamina - able to lift 50poiunds
- High school diploma or GED
- Photovoltaic commercial construction is a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS
The work can be physically demanding, working frequently in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather and working conditions. May be subjected to extreme weather conditions and terrain as well as physical circumstances involving extensive climbing, lifting, bending and working in confined spaces.
Requires weekday and, possibly weekend work on assigned sites and performing work supporting those assigned sites. Assigned sites may also require travel, overnight or extended stays. Sites typically are in the Southwestern United States.
