Your day will look like this :
Reporting to the Operations Director, the AutoCAD Drafter will provide assistance to all employees of the design department in supporting designers and other CAD Drafters in the implementation of Audio, Video, and Lighting designs.
- Creation of technical drawings (block diagrams, single-line, patch details, cable numeration, element positioning in space, mounting details, etc.)
- Support Design Engineers in research and validation
- Assist in gathering of documents, technical data sheets, and manuals that are required for the projects
- Conduct research products into new and specialized equipment
- Keep informed about new products and new technologies in the audiovisual field
- Assist with as-built drawings by combining the notes from field installation and information from the project managers
- Assist in the creation of CAD blocks to build up Solotech internal library
- Any other related duties as required by the department
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience:
- Experience in Audiovisual, Sound, Lighting, Production, or Project Management
- Intermediate level of skill in AutoCAD at a minimum
- Minimum 3 years’ experience drafting AVL systems
Knowledge:
- Intermediate knowledge in sound, lighting, control, video, and video conferencing
- Specialized software and/or DSP configurations for lighting, sound analysis, calibration, commissioning dimmers, various sound and lighting consoles is a plus
- Good Knowledge of Office 365
Specific Requirements:
- Ability to understand and interpret single-line connection plans, electrical building elevation plans
