Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for Network Specialist. This is a 9- months contract to hire opportunity based in Mahwah, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Thorough understanding of networking and Wi-Fi concepts, including Wi-Fi controllers, Access points, SSID, 2.4 GHz Channel, 5GHz Channel, Encryption, Authentication and Bandwidth.
- Ability to provide detailed Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Coordination of the rollout of new systems.
- Collaboration and communication with stakeholders to address recurring network issues permanently.
- Ability to install new access points and/or relocate them for optimal coverage.
- Use of customer-provided software to create site surveys.
- Ability to handle network priority 1 issues.
- Ability to identify network issues using tools such as Meraki, Wireshark, and SolarWinds.
- Knowledge and ability to design a secure Wi-Fi network.
- Thorough understanding of network congestion and how to resolve.
- CCNA certification preferred.
- CompTIA Network certification required but may be waived based on experience.
Pay Range for CA, CO, NJ, NY, WA: $30/hour to $35/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
