In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements.    R&D Scientist III    Job Responsibilities Able to train researchers on how to properly use chemical equipment.Perform routine maintenance and calibration on complex laboratory equipment in accordance with OEM requirements and specifications, industry and/or government standards. Develop and document maintenance and calibration procedures. Ensures that chemical equipment being used in research projects is available. Provides accurate results to support research and development activities in support of America’s Space program. Schedule maintenance as identified by the maintenance management system reports in and around scheduled laboratory operations. Document maintenance activity through completion of maintenance work orders. Initiate, disposition, and resolve anomalies and issues on systems, equipment, and assets. Ensure safety while performing maintenance activities to protect personnel performing the maintenance activity, facility and laboratory occupants, and the equipment. Ensure that OEM maintenance agreements are generated, tracked, and fulfilled for specified laboratory equipment. Provide support for Lab Safety Plans and reporting. Provide support for environmental management and general housekeeping. Performs other position related duties and responsibilities as directed.   Education or Equivalent Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, economics, geology, physics, mathematic or related scientific field. Five years of job-related experience.
