We are seeking an Advanced Mental Health Practitioner / Clinical Trainee (“Clinical Trainee”) with energy and enthusiasm to join our Outpatient team in our (NAME OF TOWN) office. WHAT DOES THE JOB LOOK LIKE?

This is a training position, with supervision provided in order to obtain licensure as a Mental Health Professional. It is part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team within Solutions’ Outpatient Services, and reports to the Clinic Manager. Solutions is a licensed mental health agency (Rule 29), which means that we adhere to a set of quality assurance standards. Quality is of the utmost importance. Under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional, the Clinical Trainee provides mental health services to identified children and adults in the office, home, or other community setting. Duties include assisting the establishment of a clinical diagnosis and in the development of a diagnostic assessment report, conducting functional assessments designed to identify functional limitations of the client due to mental health problems. This position is also responsible for designing and routinely reviewing treatment plans as well as implementing interventions, as outlined, in order to ameliorate the mental health condition. Services are designed to meet specific mental health needs of the adult or child, and support the child’s family in assisting the client, as appropriate, and must address the need for crisis services, as appropriate.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Solutions is looking for a well-prepared Clinical Trainee to join its Outpatient staff. We are looking for someone on a track for licensure, e.g., a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Psychologist, or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Successful individuals are self-starters, team players, and desire to make a difference. A qualified applicant would understand the importance of utilizing evidence-based models of treatment and would be committed to participating in this training, as well as utilize these models in practice. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Clinical Trainee must pass a criminal background check. Additionally, Solutions is committed to providing a safe work environment for its employees. It therefore requires that employees be vaccinated against COVID-19.

There is some ability to work remotely. This position works in a clinic environment with other therapists and Clinical Trainees. It has the support of a treatment team that meets weekly, as well as ongoing access to the Clinic Manager and agency Clinical Director for consultation and mentoring. Providing evidence-based treatment is foundational for Solutions, and therefore, training and oversight of staff is prioritized to help them learn and implement these models to fidelity. There is access to additional didactic training with our doctoral Psychology Internship program.
