Solvere has an immediate need for an IT Support Specialist who will be a key support to the IT Department installing software, providing technical services, and upgrading PC equipment as well as troubleshooting end user needs. Duties include re-imaging and new machine deployment and other standard desktop and remote laptop issues. This position may require work alternate schedule to support business and end user's needs, to include evenings and/or weekends for on-call coverage. Responsibilities:
- Serves as 1st point of contact for end user service calls to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve user technical problems.
- Under minimal supervision installs, services, and upgrades PC equipment, peripherals, and responds to user requests for assistance.
- Troubleshoots and repairs computer software, hardware, and network configurations.
- Provides on-site and remote technical and user support for PC components, networking, and O365 based system.
- Provide daily technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues.
- Provide weekly patches with utilization of vulnerability scanning equipment and patch management tools to ensure all assets and systems are up to date.
- Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Position will support orientation and IT-related training.
- Build and configure PC's/laptops, load software, conduct audits for unlicensed software, security audits or other functions required to keep systems up and running.
- Ensure all user help requests are addressed promptly and resolved in a timely manner.
REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Security or ComTIA
- Must have at least 3 years of IT support experience to include Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
- Basic knowledge of computer software including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic Windows navigation
- Must have experience supporting end users with various IT needs (desktop support/hardware/software/mobility support/troubleshooting technical issues).
- Must have experience with audio/video setup and support related to classroom environments
- Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be highly organized, able to manage multiple task assignments independently within a timely manner.
Desired Qualifications: - Preferred candidate to have higher education/degree or currently pursuing a degree relevant to Information Technology.
- Strong conceptual knowledge of basic end user security including MFA/2FA, password management, and general security aware
Security Requirement: - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Physical Requirements: - Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
