Systems Administrator The Cloud SysOps, Systems Administrator is to facilitate a cloud first approach to infrastructure management within the firm while continuing to maintain data centers throughout the globe. The individual will be pivotal in forming the basis of what will be a growing number of SysOps and cloud focussed members within the Office of Technology. This role will also be responsible for troubleshooting servers and services both on prem and in the cloud and will require solid Systems Administration skills, with the ability to grow into the SysOps role simultaneously. Position Responsibilities Administer cloud services and systems, primarily Windows, secondarily Linux and other systems. Troubleshoot cloud resources and assist with troubleshooting cloud-dependent services as needed. Manage on premises hardware consisting of small data centers both internationally and domestically consisting of VMWare Hosts, physical servers, Cisco networking, and Sophos Firewalls. Provision, configure, monitor and maintain requested services and security access primarily using the firm's standard automation tools as well as web-based management consoles, and scripts where necessary. Implement, maintain and test backups and disaster recovery of on-premise systems and cloud services/resources. Produce and maintain documentation and records relevant to the areas of responsibility. Maintain proficiency in server administration, cloud system administration. Project Management skills a plus, a desire to oversee projects to completion with quality results, identifying and engaging stakeholders, communicating all facets of the project Responsible for implementation and uptime of highly scalable infrastructure running on AWS. Assist with all strategic design, planning and implementation - hardware, software, support and maintenance. Provide day-to-day support for all systems components including monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation and device lifecycle management included but not limited to all WAN and LAN routing and switching, Wireless Access Infrastructure, and firewall configuration and management Act as an escalation resource for other members of the support team Required Skills: Minimum 7 years of industry experience. Strong System Administration background. Experience with multiple circuit providers (including international if possible) and services (Ethernet, MPLS, VPN, NAT, etc.) a plus. Provide enterprise-level expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and assist others within the organization Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and implementation. Outstanding collaboration and communication skills. Ability to effectively configure, manage and monitor system services on premises and AWS. Sense of ownership and responsibility. Understanding of data center design. Strong collaboration and communication skills working in a fully distributed team. Knowledge of configuration management systems. Experience with server-side automation scripting. Understanding of cloud principles and tools a plus Cisco networking equipment, Sophos firewalls a plus.
