Job responsibilities are: accurately weighing and portioning and grinding meat blocks, spices, and mixes. Understanding basic principles of making sausage and curing sausage, ability to work with a team and independently while keeping the companies goals in mind at all times. Must be a self starter with a positive attitude who can communicate clearly with others. Can both take and give clear instructions.
Basic knowledge of food sanitation and work safety in cold environments. Cutting, grinding, and wrapping fresh meat products. Adherence to proper procedure to ensure product quantity, quality and freshness.
Perform duties in our production room that remains at cooler like temperatures (cold environment). Making sausages from beginning to end. Using commercial grade smokers, grinders, and stuffers. Deep cleaning after every shift is required.
Stock and rotate product and ensure trim specifications are followed and proper temperatures are maintained in all phases of meat preparation, and storage. Prevent shrink and control expenses by following the proper weighing, labeling, dating and handling.
Perform duties such as stocking, wrapping and clean up as assigned by management.
Meat cutting experience preferred but not required. Ability to work under pressure with time constraints under observation throughout every shift necessary.
Sausage making experience preferred but will train a willing candidate.
Basic math skills required, attention to detail in regards to ingredients lists mandatory.
Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis through out your shift
You will work full time and have 2 set days off per week. Pay is on a Bi-weekly schedule. Early morning shifts, 5:50am - 3-4pm depending on production needs.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
