We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our plant in Carlisle, PA. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management and “line of sight ownership focus” for all Maintenance functions and Maintenance Personnel for the Carlisle, PA Plant 4. This person is responsible for all aspects of safety performance for the department, personnel management and discipline, training, budgeting, cost controls for equipment repair and replacement, cost reduction suggestions and continuous improvement. The Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for developing a strong team environment with clear and effective communications to build a customer focused department. The Maintenance Manager serves as a key interface with a variety of personnel including Production, Engineering, Shipping, Quality Services, EHS etc.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday although weekends may be required to support production or for major equipment breakdowns
Job Responsibilities:
- Safety of all mechanics, maintenance of all equipment and support of overall operations
- Supervision, coaching and development of mechanics and subordinates.
- Providing quality services to all “customers” in all departments
- Controlling and monitoring of equipment costs and maintaining historical data and information
- Continuous Improvement
- Ultimate ownership of the Maintenance SQDC board
- Countermeasure identification and resolution
- Participation in daily boardwalk process
- Sustainment of continuous improvement initiatives, countermeasures, and kaizen events
- Short and Long-Term Department Planning and Development
- Work with Campus Engineering for support for repairs/project work completion.
- Participate in Capital Project Planning
- Participate in the COS Steering Committee and implement initiatives and objectives.
- Manage the forklift lease program for the Carlisle Campus.
- Manage environmental regulatory compliance/reporting for Plant 4 and support other operations on campus if needed.
- Work with the facilities manager to ensure proper operation of the campus fire protection system including equipment monitoring and operation.
- Manage Plant utilities and participation in energy curtailment programs (Gas & Electric)
- Review and Management FM Global recommendations for Fire and Loss Protection.
- Participate in and support Plant Sustainability initiatives.
- Planning and management of the annual maintenance shutdown and holiday work.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
