Sony Music Entertainment is a global leader in audio entertainment that works in partnership with music and podcasting talent to develop and maximize their creative and commercial opportunities. We are seeking a marketing manager for our podcasting business focused on supporting creative storytelling talent, developing engaging content, and driving new business opportunities.
As a Marketing Manager, you will obsess over campaigns that bring ears to our shows. You’re a strategic and creative marketer who can combine your marketing experience, analytical skills and creative insight to drive listenership. This position is part of Sony Music’s podcast team in New York City and reports to the VP of Marketing for Podcasting.
Responsibilities
- Find and create audiences and communities for Sony and Sony partner podcasts
- Oversee go-to-market plans that exceed audience targets
- Manage show marketing budgets
- Work cross-functionally with key partners across the production, analytics, data research, and creative services teams to develop business insights that drive listenership
- Effectively project manage multiple title launches to ensure timely and accurate development, production and delivery of creative assets
Qualifications
- 5+ years marketing experience, with a background in media or entertainment marketing strongly preferred
- A proven track record of creating and executing impactful marketing campaigns with demonstrable ROI
- Solid understanding of creative positioning, key art/video execution, advertising and entertainment marketing
- Equally creative and & analytical, with exceptional communication skills
- A true love of podcasts
- Undergraduate degree required
