SUMMARY: This position assists the Spa Manager with the day-to-day operations and management of staff at Soothe Spa at the Grand Lodge on Peak 7.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:

  • Assist the Spa Manager with recruiting, training, retaining, developing, scheduling, reviewing, and disciplining spa staff, following the Results Leadership operating procedures. Provide guidance and support and be a team leader.
  • Manages the spa concierge team at Soothe Spa and ensures proper support and training. Included but not limited to recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating staff.
  • Delegate daily work tasks and side projects to applicable staff and ensure quality of work.
  • Provide front of the house training to Soothe Spa Concierge team. Conduct training in a manner that ensures consistent staff knowledge and performance. Ensure training is thorough and occurring on a regular basis.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and training to the Concierge Team at Soothe Spa in responding to all online reviews focusing on but not limited to Trip Advisor, Facebook, Yelp, and Google. Keep abreast of any new developments and online presence.
  • Perform annual reviews for direct reports and conduct coaching meetings. Provide feedback and coach employees on ways to improve their performances and establish goals. Follow up with employees to evaluate progress and ensure improvement.
  • Assist Spa Manager with ordering retail for Spa Boutique as needed while staying within budget. Additionally, work to motivate Soothe team to achieve retail sales goals.
  • Assist with the delegation of daily work tasks and projects at Soothe Spa and monitor the work of all staff to ensure quality control.
  • Assist Spa Manager with developing and managing to the spa operations budget ensuring proper
  • Ensure spa promotions are communicated and accessible to the Spa Concierge Team as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Spa Concierge Team members with forward thinking towards future leadership positions by providing insights on best business practices, big picture ideas and yield management strategies.
  • Work with staff to resolve issues, always considering what the spa guests deem appropriate. Consult with the Spa Manager on issues, as needed.
  • Respond to all staff questions pertaining to resort policies and services.
  • Establish, communicate, and reinforce Company policies, procedures, and standards with the staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and coach staff in ways to improve their performance. Provide feedback to the Spa Manager.
  • Keep accurate staff performance records to ensure job performance accountability. Ensure Spa Manager is informed of all staff tardiness, sick days, and absenteeism.
  • Ensure proper coverage for Spa Concierge as needed as it pertains to vacations and staff calling off.
  • Assist the Spa Manager with the daily spa operations.
  • Monitor the daily operations for the locker room, relaxation room, grotto, sauna, steam, and treatment rooms.
  • Assist with the spa website, group bookings, spa promotions, social media campaigns and advertising initiatives.
  • Provide support to Spa Manager by completing payroll for Soothe Spa as needed on an ongoing basis.
  • Monitor the schedule and staffing levels to meet business demands.
  • Evaluate, act, and close the loop on all feedback. Ensure all Owner Surveys, Trip Advisor, Facebook, Yelp, and other online reviews are responded to.
  • Monitor stock of inventory and supplies and place orders as needed. Verify deliveries are received. Stay within budget.
  • Assist with the review and approval of invoices and purchases, utilizing the company software.
  • Assist with timesheet corrections, time off approvals and the proper review and approval of bi-weekly staff timesheets by HR
