Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or registered nurse.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and conditions.
- Assist with the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Experience in emergency room (ER) or acute care setting preferred.
- Proficient in specimen collection processing and handling.
- Familiarity with neonatal ventilators and experience in providing care for newborns.
- Ability to administer injections, including Botox injections, as directed by a physician.
- Knowledge of family planning methods and ability to provide counseling on contraception options.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to accurately interpret physician orders.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
