Summary
Responsible for performing regular maintenance on air compressors and related systems, diagnosing, and fixing various issues, installing new systems and components, troubleshooting, documenting maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Essential Job Functions
Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control issues with air compressors and related systems.
- Replace or repair faulty components including belts, bearings, and valves.
- Service and maintain air dryers, ensuring their optimal performance and integration with the air compressor systems.
Installation & Setup:
- Install new air compressor systems and associated components, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Set up and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Install modular aluminum air piping in industrial settings, including air drops and manifolds.
- Familiar with and experienced in the installation and servicing of air dryers for compressed air systems.
Troubleshooting & Analysis:
- Systematically analyze mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control sub-systems to determine root causes of problems.
- Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Develop and implement effective solutions to correct identified problems and prevent future occurrences.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Provide detailed reports on system performance, root causes of issues, and recommendations for improvements to management.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to periodically walk to other areas of the plant; must have good eyesight and hand dexterity, and able to identify and distinguish colors. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
Within safety guidelines, there will be exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
