Position Summary
Our growing company is searching for an Account Manager/ Estimator who can offer reliable support to the sales team as sales volume increases. The Account Manager is responsible for building long- term relationships with a group of customers. They do this by providing excellent customer service, identifying customer needs, and creating solutions that meet or exceed the needs of the customer.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
- Manages estimating efforts to ensure optimum costing and coordination of projects to ensure we meet customer expectations and manufacturing requirements. o Build of materials (BOM) Creations/ Pricing verification. o Material entry/ material plan development. o Pricing/ final markup & pricing rollup. o Establish Labor plans for the process of assembly builds.
- Quote conversion, Turning internal quotes into production assemblies.
- Work with customers on “Design for Manufacturability” improvements.
- Responsible for Continuous tracking of customer order status and customer interface. customer interface.
- Involved in site visits by outside sales or by customers.
- Effective internal communication with our various departments to assure a smooth transition to new customer needs and for meeting scheduling parameters for established customers.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The Account Manager must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience of 3 years in manufacturing or estimating or a combination of these within a light manufacturing environment is a minimum requirement for this position. Experience in CAD/ SolidWorks drawing is beneficial but not required. Demonstrated computer skills, effective oral and written communication and experience working within a team-based environment are essential.
Working Environment
Work requires dividing physical effort between standing, sitting, and walking with most effort at a desk. The position works indoors in a climate-controlled environment with time spent in both an office and warehouse environment. There is a minimum of travel associated with this position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
