Job Description

Role: Sr. Data Program Manager

Location: New York, NY

Duration : Long Term

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

As part of the Global Data Office, the Sr. Program Manager for Data should be experienced in managing large scale, time sensitive initiatives spanning across multiple geographic regions. Specific Data Project and Program management experience is a must.

Following are some of the roles and responsibilities of this position:

Play a lead role in facilitating and ensuring ongoing communication and collaboration between key stakeholder group as required, including a high degree of senior stakeholder influencing and change management activities.

  • Collaborate with Product & Platform team, Design Engineering, Data Onboarding and Data Governance teams to understand data requirements and effectively execute it in a collaborative manner.
  • Lead the effort to build detailed requirements for reporting and oversight of the program.
  • Establish the technical requirements, objectives, timing, resources, and funding required to deliver objectives.
  • Manage and develop business improvement projects following appropriate project methodology.
  • Responsible for the planning and facilitation of standard meetings to include.
  • Design, and develop and incubate ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, to drive key business decisions and work with stakeholders across the organization to understand usage and customer lifecycles.
  • Monitor project team progress daily and act as a mentor to PMO and other project members.
  • Execute plans to achieve goals and effectively communicate results to internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues and developments.
  • Drive simplification and continuous improvement in practices and processes
  • Matrix manages a team of employees and contractors located in multiple states and across several disciplines.

 Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Equivalent work experience of 10 years ideally in Financial Services Data Office as a Project or Program Manager
  • Industry standard certifications like PMP/PgMP/CAPM/PRINCE2/Scrum Master etc. preferred.
  • Good understanding of Financial Services Data Office Operations would be preferred.
  • Ability to lead dedicated workstreams and manage multiple deliveries end to end concurrently.
  • Self-starter with excellent presentational, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at a
  • range of levels within the organization.
  • Exposure to various Develop tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA) to manage project deliverables.
  • Exposure to industry leading data products would be a plus.
  • Track record of managing budget, requirements, delivery and testing in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness of delivery.
  • Proven experience facilitating the elicitation of requirements from end users and translating them to user, functional and
  • non-functional requirements for Development Teams.
  • Detailed knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, i.e. Word, Excel, Project & Power Point
