Counter Service Specialist

SourJoe’s is an owner-operated independent pizzeria in Concord, NH. It’s a fast-casual restaurant serving both slices and whole pizzas. We are looking for a friendly counter service cashier to join our small team. Pizza making is a craft that we take great pride in. We make all our dough in house using our sourdough starter. We use a traditional deck oven that allows for flexibility and creativity. We take pride in the product we create and serve to our guests and we think you will too.

The counter service specialist is responsible for managing the guest experience. The ideal candidate will be customer-service oriented with a friendly personality, good communication skills, and positive personality. The ideal candidate will also have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team in a fast-paced environment. The position requires Friday and Saturday evening shifts and weekend work and the ability to stand throughout most of the shift.

Responsibilities include:

· Provides friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all guests.

Greets guests.

Answers questions about menu items and explains products and availability.

· Takes food orders from guests.

· Accurately enters orders in point-of-sale system.

· Reheats and serves pizza slices.

· Reviews and delivers guests orders for takeout and counter service.

· Accepts payments, including processing credit card charges and accurately making change.

· Manages food order slips and ensures customers’ orders are completed in a timely manner.

· Professionally and accurately handles phone orders.

· Communicates with pizza maker when available slice options are running low.

· Maintains dining room cleanliness. Cleans tables throughout the shift. Sweeps and mops floors daily, empties trash cans, cleans glass, and sanitizes surfaces.

Washes serving pans and disches following all proper sanitization practices

· Completes opening and/or closing checklists

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 38 per week
