What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at South Central Electric LLC?
Job Purpose:
Manage and supervise multi-family construction administrative operations by preparing and completing projects through miscellaneous documentation.
Duties:
- Create workflow documents with all construction materials to aide in the smooth transition of project phases between the corporate office and field subcontractors throughout the project duration.
- Meets electrical construction financial standards by providing and evaluating project budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions as needed to remain within the approved contract subtotal.
- Serve as a liaison between the corporate office and field to ensure that all projects have efficient communication as to the status of electrical operations throughout the duration of the project; travel to meetings on site periodically to observe & assist with the forward progression of the project.
- Aide and assist project managers throughout the construction phase to ensure that all projects are held to their respective financial and timeline requirements.
- Meets electrical construction operational standards by contributing electrical construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying engineering construction system improvements.
- Provides construction progress reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing construction and budget data and trends in accordance with the approved material costs and subcontractor contract values.
- Accomplishes electrical and organization mission by completing related results as needed; completes construction projects by comparing construction results to plans in accordance with original budget information.
- Evaluating existing contract documents in order to avoid legal challenges by understanding and enforcing regulations; recommending new procedures.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
- Prepares construction projects by verifying estimates, project drawings, and specifications; establishing and disseminating schedules in coordination with the project manager; awarding contracts; obtaining tools and equipment; specifying materials and supplies.
- Meets electrical construction operational standards by contributing electrical construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying engineering construction system improvements.
- Accomplishes electrical construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, assigning, scheduling, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
