Job Title: Office Manager
General Job Description: Manages the staff and daily operations of South County Pediatrics. Requires excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, professional, and analytical skills while maintaining a positive demeanor and teamwork. Ability to handle information in a confidential manner is required. Skills to quickly learn new software, adapt to everchanging healthcare guidelines, run and analyze reports, and manage a cohesive team.
Job Duties:
- Manages the staff and operations
- Runs payroll, ensures adherence to policies, gives performance reviews, oversees schedules and vacation approvals, facilitates staff meetings, hires and trains new employees, administers benefits, and calculates and mages the 401 K.
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank deposits, and reconciliation of QuickBooks.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly and quarterly reports to monitor productivity, provider growth, and financials. Secures financial data and sensitive information.
- Hospital credentialing, medical license renewals, malpractice, manages On-Call and After-Hours schedules, patient correspondence and resolutions, coding and billing, and establishes practice policies.
- Monitors and orders medical supplies, office supplies, and vaccine inventory.
- Social Media Administrator: updates, announces, and responds to any request on Facebook and website.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; ensures adherence to OSHA and HIPAA privacy regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborates with nurses, doctors, and other departments.
- Works with leadership to set goals, objectives, and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical field.
- Previous experience in a medical office, management, or other healthcare role.
- Develops rapport with staff and patients.
- Works well independently and possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fluid environment.
- Possesses creativity, business acumen, and emotional intelligence.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business, or related degree is required.
- At least 2 years of medical office experience is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
