Pre and Post Op Nurse

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Pre and Post Operative Nurse to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pre and post-operative care and possess a strong medical background. All nurses will be trained to circulate in Cardiac Cath Lab.

Responsibilities:

- Provide post-operative care to patients following surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition
- Administer medications and assist with pain management as needed
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in pre and post-operative care, preferably in an ICU , ASC, Cath lab setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to perform venipuncture and administer medications
- Knowledge of SIS electronic health records system is a plus
- Experience working with cardiac patients
- Familiarity with suture removal and wound care techniques
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.83 - $32.38 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
