Provide overall loan portfolio administration, and act as secondary contact, for certain complex portfolio of loan/customers in the Credit Department, Work in partnership with Relationship Managers, as directed by the CCBO, to ensure the bank’s expected Portfolio management responsibility, such as risk management and detection, financial statement collection, timely renewal and review of maturing loans, covenant monitoring and testing, loan disbursements, budget approvals. This position will provide updates regularly to executive management and recommend policies and procedures to improve risk and portfolio management.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Work closely with the Relationship Managers (RM’s) & CCBO to ensure all commercial loan administration is in accordance with loan policies.
- Oversee, manage, and when applicable, approve and review loan requests, RM’s credit summary, structuring, documentation, and that all disbursements, inspections, and supporting documents, adhere to bank policy.
- Recommend improvements and manage critical vendor relationships, such as third-party inspectors, legal counsel, appraisers, etc., as to ensure quality, timeliness, and improved vendor reporting.
- Recommend and document, enhancements related to managing construction lending in accordance with bank policy and credit approvals, as presented to approval authorities
- Will interact with customers independently to address non-routine servicing matters or other risk related issues, as it related to portfolio administration.
- Will support the RM’s with collection and review of financial information, ensuring compliance with loan agreements and credit approvals, process/approve modifications, support the preparation of officer comments by the RM’s.
- Assist with the underwriting of credit recommendations related to the commercial loan portfolio renewals and modifications of existing loans and new loans in some cases, as it related to complex loan proposals related approvals.
- Analysis will include in-depth review of business, project and individual financial statements, tax returns and other relevant credit information including collateral analysis.
- Provide key support to CCBO and RM’s and act as liaison with all external and internal audit teams, loan review, compliance, and other oversight, as needed.
- Accompany Relationship Manager/Loan Officer on client meetings.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional bank products and services as applicable.
- Participate in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility.
- Ensure compliance, within area of responsibility, including Federal, State and local laws.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Limited. May assign tasks and direct staff per established work process policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A) or equivalent. Three to five years of experience including formal credit training and/or commercial lending
