Position summary
The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Office of Public Health’s (OPH) STD/HIV/Hepatitis Program (SHHP) Research and Evaluation Unit is engaging in a pilot surveillance project to address gaps in current HIV surveillance. The project is intended to provide valuable data that will help identify opportunities to expand access to crucial testing and prevention services that will be needed to achieve national goals.
The Study Recruitment Coordinator will work under the Research and Evaluation (RE) Manager and RE Supervisor to identify individuals who meet study eligibility criteria (Stage 0 or Stage 3 HIV diagnosis) using local surveillance data, locate and contact eligible individuals, recruit them for the quantitative survey (and qualitative in-depth interviews, as applicable), and refer them to the data collection contractor. This position will be located in the SHHP Central Office in New Orleans.
