The role of the Account Manager is a critical piece of what we do here at Southeastern Freight Lines. In this role, you will be responsible for presenting Southeastern in the best, most comprehensive light to both prospective and current clients. Secures market share and creates profitable margins. What you’ll do on a typical day Pull account profiles for each planned call and plans and executes a strategy for increasing market share (at a profitable level) during each call Effectively plan and execute from 20-day plan and territory roster and properly utilize and complete the daily call report Review origin/destination manifest for new call opportunities (must make two prospecting calls per day) and confidently asks for business on each call Complete all pricing requests and leads generated from a day’s work. Negotiate pricing and conditions Complete required administrative work in a timely manner Plan for a minimum of three lunch meetings a week and sets appointments for the following week by phone. Must schedule a minimum of 40 weekly calls Work with drivers and sales force to ensure the highest level of driver involvement in sales and marketing programs Review results and action plans of the previous month.
