What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Southern Champion Tray, LP?
Southern Champion Tray's Human Resources Generalist will be actively engaged in daily Human Resource functions such as company benefits, recruiting, onboarding, enforcing company policies and practices, and numerous other areas. SOME OF THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Administrative and recordkeeping such as composing correspondence, maintaining team member files, create reports, periodic auditing of documentation such as I-9s, payroll and benefits records, serve as occasional backup to receptionist- Review Team Member files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons when requested while maintaining confidentiality
- Duties related to SCT Company Benefits such as answering team member questions or escalating as appropriate, entering / auditing benefits data into HRIS
- As part of HR Team, assist in coordination of events such as career fairs and meetings
- Assist in the planning and completion of streamlining of company HR processes
- Assist with all aspects of the team member life cycle – recruitment, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, retention, development, assessment, relations
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Able to communicate fluently, verbally and in writing, in English required and Spanish preferred- Some college, advanced degree in the field of human resources or business preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources
- Proficiency with personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel, PowerPoint skills
- Attention to detail is critical
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adobe Acrobat Professional experience preferred
- Knowledge/understanding of benefit administration with demonstrated hands-on experience
- Family and Medical Leave administration experience
- HRIS experience (ADP preferred), including report-writing experience
- HR experience with interviewing, selection, staffing, employment law, best practices and procedures
- Effective public speaking and/or training in one-on-one and group setting experience preferred
- HRCI PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification or above

- Occasional travel
