What are the responsibilities and job description for the HSE Specialist position at Southern Concrete Products?
Southern Concrete Products is seeking to fill an HSE Specialist position for our on-site ready mix concrete operations in Bay Minette, AL.
General Tasks including but not limited to:
- Conduct inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for corrective actions
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures
- Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental health and safety practices
- Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and accidents to prevent future occurrences
- Monitor and evaluate workplace hazards, such as chemical exposures, noise levels, and ergonomic risks
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, laws, and industry best practices
- Working with general contractors HSE team to ensure compliance with site safety requirements
Prefferred Experience
- 2 years experience in constructions safety - REQUIRED
- OSHA 30 hour
- Familiarity with ready-mix concrete/concrete plants
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
