Member Service Representative

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer/member-oriented individual to join our team as a Member Services Representative. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members and assisting them with their financial needs. Duties:
- Assist members with various financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
- Provide information on products and services offered by the credit union
- Process member requests for new accounts, loans, and credit cards
- Perform account maintenance tasks, such as address changes and account updates
- Handle member inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Utilize basic math skills to accurately balance cash drawer at the end of each shift
- Follow established procedures for fraud prevention and detection
- Promote financial products and services to members, including upselling opportunities

Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
- Familiarity with basic math concepts and ability to perform simple calculations
- Knowledge of debits, credits, and other fundamental banking principles
- Experience with loan processing is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and the use of cash registers or similar equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.20 - $15.93 per hour
