JOB SUMMARY
The Enrollment Counselor (EC) at SNU, Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) is responsible for developing relationships with adult prospective students towards the goal of enrolling into our Professional and Graduate Studies programs. This position is the first point of contact and will counsel prospective students throughout the admissions process from initial contact to matriculation. Effective candidates should be results driven and passionate about helping students and able to work independently as well as on a team. This is a work from home/remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Apply proven recruiting methods to help students connect with SNU. This includes prompt follow-up with prospective students using telephone (call/text) and email.
- Enter and maintain information in Recruit (CRM) according to Lead Policy is mandatory.
- Meet enrollment goals and objectives set by leadership.
- Work directly with admissions office to track paperwork and update the system on progress.
- Articulate financial aid estimates.
- Articulate transcript reviews.
- Understand University's policies and work with program directors to assist the prospective student through the enrollment process.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned by the Director of Enrollment and/or Vice President of PGS Enrollment, Marketing and Student Services.
Required Qualifications:

- An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity
- Experience and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to: Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience working in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with both faculty and student populations.
- Superior organizational and problem resolution skills.
- Goal oriented and highly ethical.
- Ability to listen and to understand and respond positively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in higher education, recruiting non-traditional adult students is preferred.
- Sales background preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
Supervision Exercised:
May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
