What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student - Agent of Change position at Southern New Hampshire University?

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking an individual to serve as a Diversity Agent of Change. This role provides administrative, programmatic and peer- to-peer support for the center and the students that utilize it. Agents of Change will assist with content development for social media platforms as well as monthly newsletter and will aide the office is a series of marketing activities that range from creating bulleting boards through representing the office at tabling events. Agents of Change will also assist with designing and executing a wide variety of programs and events throughout the year. Agents of Change also serve as workshop facilitators at on-campus training sessions or conferences. Duties and Responsibilities are unique for each role but include: Assist in the creation and implementation of campus-wide programs (face-to-face and virtual) which may include menu planning, guest logistics, identification of speakers, organization of performances and décor and facilitation Assist in providing content for social media channels and departmental communications (newsletter, weekly email, etc.) Create flyers and other promotional materials for events/programs Represent the office at outreach events including new-student orientation, Admissions events, presentations and training sessions Assist in all aspects of customer service including answering phones, greeting guests, responding to department email and ensuring that all students are connected with campus resources as needed Complete other tasks as assigned by department leadership (this may include shopping, research, budget assistance, serving as a liaison, general office clean-up and a wide-variety of administrative tasks) Minimum Qualifications: Enrollment in an Undergraduate program at SNHU Working knowledge in concepts related to diversity, equity and inclusion Must be willing to work collaboratively with others and be flexible regarding assigned tasks Knowledge of basic computer/technology skills (word, excel or equivalent, google docs, canva, video/digital imaging, etc.) Ability to maintain privacy An interest in advancing the mission of the Office of Diversity Programs Preferred Qualifications: Work study eligible Learning Outcomes are unique for each role but include: Increased knowledge of event planning Improved public speaking/facilitation skills Increased ability to use and leverage social media Increased knowledge of communications strategies and collaborative teamwork Increased scope of knowledge about diversity, equity and inclusion Increased customer service skills (phone, email and face-to-face greeting) If you need technical assistance with your application please email hr4u@snhu.edu To check your application status, please log into your account.
