**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for credentialing, handling insurance claims, verifying coverage, and ensuring accurate billing processes in our dental office.
**Duties:**
- Credential or renew providers with insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims
- Coordinate with dentist and hygienists to ensure accurate claim submissions
- Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Provide support to patients regarding insurance inquiries and billing concerns
- Support other front office staff in patient coordination/scheduling
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in a dental office setting preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, coding, and insurance verification processes
- Familiarity with insurance billing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficiency in using practice management software and electronic health records systems (e.g. clearinghouse)
