Manages strategies to grow the credit union’s competitive position within its strategic markets. Responsible for establishing and strengthening relationships with businesses and organizations in the areas we serve in support of the credit union’s strategic priorities. Oversees the Business Development staff to identify objectives to increase awareness, market share, membership, deposit growth and loan growth. Represents the credit union at key community events, engagements and SEG meetings.
Experience: Minimum five years of similar or related experience in a business development or finance role. Minimum three years of experience in a managerial role. Outside sales experience required.
Education: Graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in business, finance/accounting, marketing, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Other Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal). Strong understanding of financial products and services and personal finance. Proven ability to manage people and perform duties independently. Must be able to travel independently and operate all types of general office equipment including PC.
