SUMMARY:
The Analytics Analyst builds and repairs data reports, including developing customized reports from databases to extract and collect data according to client or management needs. Regularly uses software applications and preforms proper testing of applications, analyzes statistics and other metrics, provides end-user training on report writing software, and presents data to colleagues in other departments. Analytics Analyst is sometimes responsible for making official presentations to explain findings and results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develops customized reports to extract and collect data based on customer needs.
- Manages on-going file load processing, table maintenance and reconciliation of data processed in analytic solutions.
- Develops and maintains report catalog and report definitions documentation.
- Accesses and prioritizes all incoming report request.
- Translates reporting request in order to accurately meet information needs and deadlines of customers.
- Provides end user support on standardized, custom and ad hoc reports.
- Collaborates with team members and stakeholders to design and develop data visualizations/dashboards/reports.
- Communicates and educates end users as to the appropriate and desirable parameters to ensure they get the requested information.
- Collaborates with end users to gather report requirements and ensure proper testing and validation.
- Reviews application manuals and documentation.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and facility regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Understands and adheres to compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflicts of Interest Policy.
- Demonstrates age-specific skills as required by position.
- Offers suggestions on ways to improve operations of department and reduce costs.
- Attends all mandatory education programs.
- Improves self-knowledge through voluntarily attending continuing education/certification classes.
- Maintains required competency levels as identified in written exams, skills checklists, skills labs, annual safety and health requirements as well as service excellence education hours requirements.
- Willing to cross-train in order to better assist co-workers and to provide maximum efficiency in department.
- Volunteers/participates on hospital committees, functions, and department projects.
- Manages resources effectively.
- Reports equipment in need of repair in order to extend life of equipment.
- Makes good use of time so as to not create needless overtime.
EDUCATION:
* Associate's Degree in Information Technology
OTHER INFORMATION:
* Minimum two (2) years of reporting or analysis experience required.
