Position summary:
-
The Perioperative Clinical Coordinator under the direction of the Clinical Manager assists in managing projects related to quality measures and indicators, staff education, training, and competencies in Perioperative Services. This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer, physician and staff satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity. Utilizing a wide range of problem solving skills, functioning as a leader, practitioner, educator, consultant and researcher. Consulting and collaborating with other health care team members to provide safe appropriate patient care. Ensuring a culture of accountability and demonstrating the ability to problem solve. Annually reviewing and revising, as needed, the Operating Room Structure Standards and Policy and Procedure Manuals in consultation with the Clinical Manager, Quality Improvement Clinician and the Infection Control Department.
The area or emphasis of work is determined through the annual prioritization of work directives and goals with the Clinical Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Education:
-
Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required length and type of experience:-
Three (3) years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting with one (1) year in a leadership role.

Required licensure, certification or registry:-
Current Ohio RN license. Current CPR certification.

Special Qualifications:
-
Demonstrates effective problem solving/decision making abilities. Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritize with excellent time management skills. Performs with initiative and innovation. Knowledge of practice requirements for RN and LPN as mandated by the Nurse Practice Act.
