Social Worker/Case Manager- FGDM (Family Group Decision Making)

Southwest Health and Human Services currently has an opening for a Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) Social Worker. This position can be located in any of our offices. (Marshall, Ivanhoe, Pipestone, Luverne, Slayton or Redwood Falls).

Southwest Health and Human Services (SWHHS) is a multi-county agency committed to strengthening individuals, families and communities by providing quality services in a respectful, caring and cost-effective manner.

The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate Family Group Decision making conferences for child protection cases in the six (6) counties of SWHHS. The facilitator will attend child protection screening meetings and identify families that would benefit from FGDM and prioritize those most at risk of placement and families of diverse backgrounds. The position requires the ability to bring people together with short notice and facilitate decision making. Some evening work is required with this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field.

or

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university with a major in any field and one year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.

Starting Rate of Pay: $25.60 - $42.81/hour
