POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to greet and direct visitors, answer phones, respond to inquiries from staff, the public, parents, students, etc. Provide requested information and/or refer to appropriate parties. Provide general clerical support as needed for the campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Answer telephone calls.
- Greet visitors and assist in meeting their needs.
- Ensure that all campus visitors, district employees, parent volunteers, and visitors sign in.
- Distribute and collect parent ID badges, when parents or visitors are visiting the premises.
- Update phone system messages.
- Take messages, when appropriate, and following the proper teacher/ administration request procedures.
- Receive, classify, reconcile, consolidate, and summarize documents and information.
- Look up files and retrieve content as requested.
- Become familiar with the school procedures and policies (found in the parent/ student or teacher handbooks).
- Ensure that parents or guardians sign in when their child is tardy to school.
- Call parents when a student has missed school.
- Double check emergency and student release information when someone other than the parent comes to pick up the child.
- Being present in the main office/ making sure that the front office is covered at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in applicable area, preferably in a school setting
- Experience working with diverse student populations, parents, and other stakeholders
EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to build and sustain positive, collaborative relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to interpret laws, rules, and policies
- Ability to plan and present information to a variety of audiences
- Skills in written and oral communication, planning, and organization

Salary : $26,300 - $33,300
