Job Title: SAP Data Analyst I
Department: ITS – Global Master Data, 8513
Location: Carrollton, GA
Report To: Manager, Global Master Data
Summary
As a member of the Global Master Data team, the Data Analyst will execute data management strategy and assist with continuous improvement of data management. This involves understanding the requirements of master data and the relationship with upstream/downstream applications within SAP. This person will support the overall business strategy of the company and will work with multiple business units utilizing SAP. The candidate should be able to work well with others, adapt quickly to change, and be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
• Accountable for gathering information requirements and working with the business to define standards and rules to ensure master data is compliant with defined information, policies, and quality requirements as defined by the business in conjunction with the Center of Excellence.
• Monitor the workflow process for new data requests, changes, and deletions
• Enter data (create/change/delete) with utmost accuracy.
• Work closely with business units to resolve issues.
• Identify, analyze, and report/resolve data issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Focus on continuous data improvement and make recommendations to senior management.
• Support continuous process improvement for data accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive Data Governance regulations and standards to achieve One Southwire harmonized master data system.
• Take on other responsibilities and special projects as directed by management.
• Be proficient in at least one knowledge area of Master Data.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of SAP experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Hands on Data Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) preferred with Master Data experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven organization ability.
• Must be self-directed, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong intuitive skills to proactively ask the appropriate questions to ensure the data quality of the master data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to interact and communicate effectively within the organization, with business units
• throughout the company.
• Must be a strong team player with a firm, personal commitment toward excellence.
• Should be comfortable working in a rapidly transforming organization.
