Serves as liaison between families of patients and staff, providing updates on patient status and escorting families to and from clinical areas.

Job Summary:
Serves as liaison between families of patients and staff, providing updates on patient status and escorting families to and from clinical areas.
- Serves as liaison for telephone calls as necessary; routes internal and external calls correctly and takes accurate messages when unable to connect caller to requested party. Assist patients and their families in navigating the registration process
- Receives and responds to service requests. This would entail meeting anyone at the door who requires assistance of any type. ( Wheelchairs , walkers). This would also include a patient who walks in that seems to need assistance, you would offer a wheelchair. Inform families of any delays related to surgical procedures
- Greets patients and families. There is to be interaction between you and the families in the waiting area. Provides accurate and appropriate information. Seeks guidance when necessary. Provide beverage and snack service to families in waiting area
- Notifies appropriate nursing staff that patient is present.
- Keeps track of patient’s family, patient’s driver, and patient belongings.
- Ensures that pharmaceutical/equipment representatives have appropriate badges and do not interfere with patient care or confidentiality.
- Performs other miscellaneous office/clerical duties as needed.
- Visits patients post operatively.
Qualifications:
Medical receptionist experience, preferred.

Full-time. Monday – Friday 6am-2:30pm or 8am-4:30pm.
