Position Summary :

Sovah Danville is seeking a part-time Behavior Health Monitor Tech - 2nd shift to provide services to ensure a safe environment for psychiatric patients in a locked inpatient unit setting.

• Monitors dining / day rooms, and hallways on Behavioral Health when occupied by patients to assure patient safety in the environment.
• Monitors patients for suspicious behavior indicating the possibility of self-harm.
• Reports incidents, utilizes nursing staff for concerns, discusses recent issues, and any pertinent patient details with covering / on-coming behavioral health monitor technician.
• Recognizes patient behaviors in the dining / day room, and hallway environment that may result in an unsafe situation.

Qualifications

Minimum Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills :

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Certifications / Licenses :

AHA BLS required.
