Summary: Sovereign is seeking Delivery Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate has a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and a willingness to learn our system. The job will involve food and supply deliveries to school cafeteria facilities within a 30 mile radius of Birmingham. Early morning start between 4am and 5am and finish between Noon and 2PM Monday-Friday
Duties Include:
- Transport goods and supplies from one location to another in a timely manner following established routes.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
- Document and verify deliveries.
- Provide support to other staff as needed.
Experience:
- At least 6 months of delivery driving experience with an emphasis on delivering goods safely (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to use GPS, provided by company, to find and follow designated routes.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Clean driving record required.
