What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect Designer Level I position at SOW Design Studio?
SOW Design Studio, an award-winning firm based in Fort Lauderdale has an immediate opening for an aspiring architect/designer. The applicant must have between 2-5 years’ experience working at an architectural firm using most of the following design software:
- REVIT
- AutoCAD
- Adobe Suite
- Rhinoceros
- SKETCHUP
- Microsoft Office
Description of position:
- Work closely with principals on design charrettes, develop design schematics and presentations. Propose ideas and model options on 3D Modeling software, provide presentation renderings or guide professional renderers to provide final product.
- Communicate directly with clients and team members. Coordinate with consultants during design process. Attend presentations and site meetings.
- Participate in business events related to AIA Fort Lauderdale, IIDA, ABC etc.
- Short errands and general organization in the office.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, writing and oral presentations in person or virtual.
- Good attitude for learning and proposing evolving ideas.
- Problem solver and goal oriented to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with others as a team member.
- Required to study and check compliance at any phase of design.
